@Dan_the_Van Concise and to the point, but are people really too thick these days to work it out?
I started on ISP forums ~30 years ago with Tiscali, whose site was more of a maze than PN's ever has been, and succeeded in posting in the right place.

Off topic agian I know, but for my question is relevant to the comment made.
My understanding was that PN had not adopted the use of SOADSL/SOTAP. The comment from @outcast inplies that this may not be the case and PN have or will be doing so.
Is it possible to clarify please as this may have a major impact on customers like me, on ADSL lines?
Thanks in advance for any information.

In another recent topic I asked an online AI, what Plusnet's stance is for ADSL customers with regards to the withdrawal of landline phone services by the end of the year (or whenever it happens). What the AI reported is very close to what my understanding of the situation is. Have a read of that post here, and come back with any questions.
On an ADSL connection, when the landline phone is withdrawn, the remaining line becomes SOADSL (broadband only).
You mention SOADSL and SOTAP.
At the moment Plusnet don't provide broadband using SOADSL so you'd need to find an ISP that does (link here)
Theoretically you might be able to get a landline phone service via "SOTAP for Analogue" on a separate master socket, note that having a second master socket isn't a problem as your existing landline cable will have spare conductors - so it *should* simply be a matter of fitting a second master socket next to your existing one, and extending across a spare copper pair.
You might have to go to BT to get "SOTAP for Analogue", or sign up as a 'trial' user (possibly this or this bt.centercode.com).
