ADSL Broadband with plusnet, landline with BT

Since the year dot I've had a BT landline and my adsl broadband service comes from plusnet.

If I cancelled my BT landline would this affect my broadband with plusnet, or would it just carry on as normal?

if you cancel your BT line then your broadband will cease as it needs a working phone line.
You can either transfer your phone line to plusnet or leave as is.

So, how would I do that? If I transfer my phone to plusnet does that mean a different plusnet contract to the one I'm on now?

I really only want broadband.

@John_373

ADSL & VDSL (FTTC) both require a working phone line - you have no choice in the matter.

Have you checked recently what is available for your property.

Otherwise give the PlusNet Customer Options Team a phone on 0800 013 2632 to see what your options are.

@John_373

It sounds like you are paying the out of contract price for a legacy product. If you do some background research you will probably find that if you combined the two services on a new contract that you would save money.
