Does switching to a new supplier and also from FTTC to FTTP count as ceasing service entirely?

As the title says, I'm leaving Plusnet and also swapping from FTTC to FTTP. As the copper line is being removed, and the new FTTP is on City Fibre rather than Open reach, does that count as a cease of service rather than a simple swap of supplier?

@Lung

From the help pages

https://www.plus.net/help/my-account/thinking-of-leaving/

Move to a new provider

For most moves you don't need to let us know. Just set everything up with them and they'll tell us when to switch your Plusnet service off.

Moving to Virgin or someone not on the Openreach network? You will need to tell us. Your Plusnet account will only close once your new service has been set up.

I don't think City Fibre are allowed to touch the copper line.  Things may have changed recently, which I've missed, but they never used to be allowed to.  Only Openreach (or their contractors) could do that.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
