Downgrade from full fibre to fibre

Due to illness I have to move, I am still in contract with Full fibre, but my new property only supports fibre and this cannot be changed. Will Plusnet let me downgrade?

@JamesRut

Give the PlusNet Customer Options Team a phone on 0800 013 2632. They'll be able to advise on what's available. #i assume you don't have a landline or it's already on VOIP as you'll not get a PSTN service at the new address.

Re: Downgrade from full fibre to fibre

Thanks BMC. The flat has a copper based telephone line in so I can get Plusnets fibre option but I will not be allowed to have a full fibre line connected due to the wiring in the building. I fear I am going to end up with a huge change of contract bill, even though I want to keep Plusnet.

Re: Downgrade from full fibre to fibre

@JamesRut the 'broadband' board in which you originally posted is really for technical or performance queries e.g low speed or router problems. Your question is a contractual one and more appropriate in the accounts/billing board where it will attract more staff attention

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Downgrade from full fibre to fibre

Hey there @JamesRut it's a bit of a grey area this one! Technically we can't downgrade during a contract even if you can't get the product at the new house.

What I would do is call the Customer Options team on 0800 013 2632 they will be able to advise. Their opening hours are:

Monday - Friday 8am-8pm
Saturday 9am - 7pm
Sunday 9am - 6pm

If you have issues with getting through to them, send us a reply and we will organise a call back.

If this post resolved your issue please click the 'This fixed my problem' button

Re: Downgrade from full fibre to fibre

I phoned them, the man seems to think it will be ok. They will just put me on a new contract. I suppose I will find out when the time comes. Should just be the house moving fee with a  bit of luck. I'm going to miss full fibre lol.

Thanks to you all.
