Re: Logging in to plusnet

We are possibly looking in the wrong direction.  Those two iOS versions should be fine ... its version 9 and earlier which I would have concerns over.

EXACTLY what do you experience when attempting to access the user portal here - Login | Member Centre | Plusnet

FWIW I have no issue logging in using an iPhone on 18.2.1 - if does seem sluggish and does not display my contract details (an account issue) but it certainly logs in.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

As @Townman says, you OS versions are fine - like him, I was wondering if you were using a very old version. I don't use my iPad or iPhone for browsing usually, but if I do, I don't think I have any problems.

I use Firefox as a browser across all hardware with no known issues, although I admit I don't try logging into my PN account on mobile - I'll have a play in a while when I've finished watching the footie.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Just logged into my account on both phone and tablet with absolutely no issues -  and I can see full details, @Townman .

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Just checked  :

iPad 15.8.3 Duckduckgo - no problems.

iPhone 18.3 Safari - no problems.

Being historically a F9 customer I have to remember to change provider from Plusnet to Force9.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

@laraineq

Just guessing, but does your username or password contain an 'a', 'd', 'i', 'o', or 's' ?

It is noticeable in your replies here that you are clearly able to spell, but the majority of your replies have a habit of putting an 'i' where the should have been an 'o' or vice versa, or mixing up 'a' and 's', and 's' with 'd'.

Possibly you need to recalibrate your touch screen keyboard to regain typing accuracy ?, as these are adjacent letter pairs at the edges of the keyboard layout (and therefore most likely to become out of calibration).

I'm wondering the fact that you're obviously not seeing these transposed 'i' and 'o', or 'a' and 's' and 'd', whether the same thing is happening when typing your username and password ?.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Good spot, @outcast .

@laraineq As suggested by @outcast , double check your entries spelling - you can get the password to display by clicking the 'show' at the end of the field.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Developing on @outcast's last suggestion, is it possible that @laraineq's devices have become set to a non UK QWERTY keyboard?

If they are an experienced typist, they might be hitting where they expect those characters to be, rather than where they currently actually are on the keyboard?

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Another good idea, @Mr_Paul , but I am leaning more to the 'adjacent character' error - I always use a stylus when entering characters on the iPad/iPhone - the phone especially, due to the size of the keyboard.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Thank you for your reply, my username/email are already saved and I use face recognition. The problem is with the small keyboard when typing I do sometimes miss the letter I’m going for. I’m using a stylus to write this 😀

I have checked my password by clicking on the show button but it all looks ok. Thank you for your reply

@laraineq

Something to consider, sometimes when using autofill a space can be added to the end of a word.

Re: Logging in to plusnet

Also, underscore, ( _ ), can look like a space.
