Perhaps you were told you needed your password but you're only ever asked for two random characters, e.g. third and tenth.
At least that was the case when I last phoned many moons ago.

If the worst came to be and your p/w is needed then login to PN and change your p/w to something simple.
Speak to PN with the simple p/w and then go back in to change it to what you normally use.
However I suspeact that, as already stated, you'd only be asked for a couple of characters.

As an aside, I assume you're aware you'll lose your landline (if you still have one) when you move.
