I guess you have illustrated matters well - someone somewhere will find something to grumble over, no matter how it is done.  It is much like the weather - we complain when its cold and wet and complain just the same when its too hot and sunny!

It would appear that simple and fair are difficult to deliver together!

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

That's what happened on Talktalk. You could escape the price rise for a month by choosing a good billing date.
