Your broadband won't work until you have a phone line - whether you use it or not - that said, a cheap corded phone is one of the best tools you can have for tracing broadband faults.

If you’ve received your activation date for your phone line, your broadband will go live on the same date as I placed a “simultaneous order” (phone and broadband).
As we’re taking over a working line, we wouldn’t be able to get you up and running any earlier to be honest. All orders are subject to a lead time you see 😊.
