So you’ve given VM a definite disconnection date … before your new service has been installed? Such is always a dangerous strategy … there’s no end of things which can go pear shaped on a new infrastructure installation.

Personally I’d cancel the VM cancellation until the new service is commissioned.

I would suspect that what has happened here is that BTOR (or their agent) has attended to do the installation as planned, installed the ONT and then found the U/G duct to be blocked. Rectifying that requires an A55 dig approval notice.

NB: I’m my recent FTTP installation (all done on the same day) they installed the ONT and internal fibre BEFORE running the external fibre. Such probably explains why there’s an ONT but no external connection.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I sent the permission yesterday morning and I still have no email or guidance on timescale.
