@alanfretten

Just re-read post #3

You are not on a Fibre Priority Exchange and you should be able to go SOGEA when the landline goes according to what the Checker says.

Re: External Fibre connection to house query

it's the copper network that's being closed which includes broadband copper connections to a cab. No Internet company will offer an FTTC service anyway where full fibre is available I have tried.

@alanfretten  as @bmc says , the copper network to the cabinet is not being closed. As long as your exchange isn't 'Fibre priority' (and from the availablity checker yours isnt!) then you can order SoGEA ( confusingly called Fibre by most ISPs )

Txt was from Openreach, on Monday - same day I placed the order. There was actually 2 texts first gave the option of replying CONFIRM or ACCESS. CONFIRM meant that the work would be done without the need for anyone to be at home. ACCESS if someone needed to be home.

I wonder if that text was for the survey visit ? what was the timescale for the visit ?

Do you mean 'from' the cab?

Re: External Fibre connection to house query

Bad choice of words perhaps! I meant the copper from the house to the cab
