Moving from John Lewis (which is PlusNet!)

I am an ex-PlusNet user, who moved to John Lewis (provided by PlusNet) and now John Lewis are ceasing their service, I am moving back to PlusNet.  SO the move SHOULD be simple; line available, running a Plusnet service today, and yet I have just received a DELAYED text.  Why would that be...surely this should be the easiest of switches...?

It's worth noting that the move TO John Lewis was a shambles.  I am hoping that a virtual switch back to PlusNet will not be a debacle as well?

Re: Moving from John Lewis (which is PlusNet!)

@Roadtorode  Plusnet seem to have trouble moving JL customers to a Plusnet service when it should be straightforward. Have seen cases on the forum where it's taken weeks to sort out the mess.

However if you say you are now running on a Plusnet service it looks like it has transferred already, the Delayed message is probably an error. Let's hope so.🙂

Re: Moving from John Lewis (which is PlusNet!)

As a JohnLewis user, my VDSL router always reported the provider as PlusNet, not unsurprisingly, so nothing has changed at that level yet.

Surely all that needs to be done is to set new broadband login attributes in the router and make some changes in the billing system... everything else must surely be the same (and I certainly didn't have any exchange/phone line/engineer shenanigans when I moved to JohnLewis and the performance was identical in all respects) anyway, I shall watch and wait.

@Roadtorode  Sorry should have realised that your connection will show Plusnet on JL broadband. In that case you need to find out what the delay could be. I don't believe normal customer support will be able to help you as this is not a standard migration. You may have to wait for this to be picked up by the forum staff, so could be a bit slow.

Hiya @Roadtorode

I'm sorry for the delay in your services moving to Plusnet, there was a conflict with the migration which we have sorted.

We have updated your ticket here with the confirmation dates it will switch.
