Moving today -engineer hasn’t turned up

So we’re moving today. Rang plus net 5 weeks ago to arrange. Was told I’d need an engineer to get the line working and helpfully had it booked for this morning between 8 and 1. No engineer has turned up. I’ve been here since 7:45am. Plus net were very quick to turn my service off at the other end. This is very frustrating

@SeraRose When was this appointment booked - Openreach are carrying out random strikes, which ISPs do not always no way in advance about, and this can have consequences for visits booked around strike dates.

It was booked 5 weeks ago. Surely plus net would now know if there was a strike. Some sort of courtesy email/ message would help

OK. Unfortunately, Plusnet are suffering from a massive staff haemorrhage, and they don't have sufficient cover.

I think I’m allowed to be a little annoyed. I could have been helping to move my things instead of sitting around in case I missed an engineer. As it now stands I have no Internet, a service I’m paying for, with no access and not date given for a visit
