My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

Openreach website is showing I can get full 1000mbit fibre yet checker on the Plusnet site doesn't show those. Neighbours on either side are able to get full fibre offers.

I'm a current customer.

@Chrisw5057

Try the following. You need to see WBC FTTP in the left hand column and Available to the right.

https://www.broadbandchecker.btwholesale.com/#/ADSL

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

It says "waiting list" for WBC FTTP on my address yet "available" for my neighbours.

Sorry can't post attachments yet.

This issue only arrived after I had an order for full fibre cancelled by Vodafone.

@Chrisw5057

This explains why PlusNet doesn't show any Full Fibre options for you - they use the same Checker.

If you've not already done so you can use the Address version to check your neighbours.

You might be able to insert screen images by clicking on the retangle that lloks like a mountain picture.

Unfortunately can't add images.

I even spoke to the surveyor from openreach who did the survey for Vodafone and he agreed it was available. It's obviously an oversight or a quirk since the order was cancelled on vodafone's end.

fwiw, try this openreach form to see if they will correct the error in their database

https://www.openreach.com/forms/fibre-broadband-availability---customer-form

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

Thanks for the suggestion. I filled out this form yesterday so let's see what happens.

I had thought at one point I'd been blacklisted after so much wrangling between openreach and Vodafone over the install of the ducting/fibre, which resulted in vodafone cancelling my order.

after so much wrangling between openreach and Vodafone over the install of the ducting/fibre

what was the problem ? It may be that Openreach have decided that major work is required before fibre can be provided and thus marked the address as such, although its not something that's been seen before AFAIK

Did your original status ( before the vodafone order ) show 'KCI2 Assure' ?

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

So this is extremely interesting. From last night to this morning the status has changed from "waiting list" to "available" with KCI2 assure.

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

@Chrisw5057  dont get too excited. KCI2 Assure means that Openreach will do a site survey ( within 5 days I think ) to check what work needs doing. Only then will they give an install date.

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

Understandable.

If you are interested my previous problems went something like this:

1. Saw full fibre was available and ordered mid April with vodafone.

2. Survey completed end of April, confirming partial duct existed but would still need 190m of ducting as poles would not be suitable due to tree coverage.

3. Openreach ordered materials for me to install duct - expectation was 2nd May.

4. They didnt actually deliver everything until May 17th. At which time my builder was on another project.

5. Kept having to delay installation and eventually openreach put it back to vodafone that they would do the work and charge them.

6. Price exceeded what vodafone were willing to pay. All through this I kept telling them that I was attempting to get the duct installed.

7. Eventually they decided they couldn't service the property as there had been a mistake.

8. Worst thing was, they kept stringing me along with the hope of compensation, which would only kick in if I actually got activated.

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

@Chrisw5057 I may be wrong but...

I dont understand why Openreach were asking you to get the ducting installed ? it should be their responsibility , unless you weren't happy with what they were proposing. As for poles not being suitable due to trees, well surely they should just get the trees trimmed ?

Eventually they decided they couldn't service the property as there had been a mistake.

That's worrying, was that Vodafone or Openreach ? Voda I assume, since OR have changed the status back to available KCI2 Assure

Is this a new build?  Is the duct now in place that you said your builder was doing?

Re: My neighbour can get full fibre but I can't.

Just doing some more research, I wonder if Openreach are quoting Excess construction charges (ECC) ? theres a discussion here https://www.ispreview.co.uk/index.php/2022/06/openreach-and-the-case-of-a-tricky-fttp-transition-pro...
