New Router delivery ?

Hi, i received email for fibre upgrade due to commence on 14th

However new router has not arrived, my question is, has all this been actioned and if it does not arrive in time will my existing router still work until new one arrives

@andrewpam1  Welcome to the forum.

The hubs are normally sent out  just a few days before your service goes live. The chances are that Openreach have delayed your date and Plusnet have failed to update you.

The only hub that will seamlessly work after an upgrade is a Plusnet Hub One and the new Hub Two. The Plusnet 2704N definitely will not. BT Smart hubs and HH5’s can be adapted to work, see settings etc pinned to the top of the Router board.

Otherwise tell us which hub you currently use.

Hi, thanks, i currently have a repurposed BT home hub 3, so would this work, and where were the details to get it running if reqd

Sorry, this is an old ADSL hub and will not work on a FTTC fibre service.

Hiya @andrewpam1, thanks for getting in touch. I'm sorry for the delay in getting your post picked up and that you haven't yet received your router.

 

It looks like the order is due to complete on the 17th Feb (we requested the 14th, but the soonest our supplier could commit was the 17th). The router order wasn't completed yet so I've done this manually for you now.
