I have a 14 digit order no. placed for FTTP can I search using the order number anywhere to check for any progress etc

No it doesnt begin with any letters. I am with BT and am in the process of switching to plusnet but it seems to be a long wait

approx 2 weeks ago now, i originally cancelled my BT account however I was then told by plusnet that i needn't have done so as this resulted in an open order on my openreach account. i have since ceased the cancellation with BT over a week ago now.

Ah, that will have caused a slowdown in the transfer. My suggestion is to ring Plusnet and ask what is happening.

I've had a gander at your order and can see we're due to transfer your FTTP service on the 17th of February. The transfer can take anytime up to midnight to complete.
We'll drop you an email and text once the service is ready to use.
