I ordered my broadband on the 3rd of May 2024, still waiting for my router to arrive, says it’s going to be activated on the 1st of June but I received a text from open reach saying they need the router now to be able to accept it and activate it from their end. Where is my router?

What type of connection are you getting - FTTC or FTTP?
With the latter, the ONT in the house needs to be powered up for OR to run checks.
PN tend not to dispatch routers until 2 or 3 before the activation date.
