I ordered my broadband from Plusnet on 7th September and received a text a week ago saying activiation had been delayed to 30th. My first payment went out on the 7th, but obviously I've have unable to use the service for over three weeks by the time it's actually set up. Does the first payment basically count as a setup fee, or will my second payment be delayed given I've not been able to use the broadband?
I'm just slightly annoyed that I've paid but been unable to use the service basically.
Fixed! Go to the fix.

@PimplyYouth Welcome to the Community forum.
Your billing month starts on the day that the service goes live, not the sign up date.

Hey, thanks for the reply. Does that mean the initial amount I paid counts as a start up fee then? I'm just wondering because otherwise I've paid £23 for a service I've not been able to use for three weeks.

This £23 is your first months payment (you pay in advance) that will cover the service for one month from the day when the service goes live.
So currently the full amount is waiting for the service to start, after which it will pay for a full month’s service. So no, you are not paying for a service that you have not been able to use.
