192.168.1.254 an alternative

I did not feel happy deleting the cache as recommended here..

Used http://bthomehub.home as Chrome did not accept the 192.xxx  address.  So logged in and found new layout clear.

You need to explain what you think the issue is in more detail.

That link is the router management landing page ... which makes no mention of clearing the cache.

Well you can't manage the router until you get paid the 192.xxx entry address!
I don't always want the inconvenience loosing the
browser cache!
After searching I was pleased to find another alternative.
If you can suggest a simpler one it would be appreciated.

@Dan_the_Van @Walter that's exactly what I do; I have a shortcut on my desktop with the IP address of the router.

Can you explain why you think you need to clear the browser cache?

You just navigate to 192.168.1.254 by what ever means - type in the IP address, use the URL you posted … or a bookmarked favourite.

Personally I have it as one of the browser’s load on open pages.

Yes Dan, that is the problem some Browsers don't take you to the router just do a general (Google) search. I found other posts with similar problems.
Now the address I found does the trick and certainly I saved it to favourites and hopefully can find it the next time I need it!

Indeed the 'problem' is that you did not specify the connection protocol...

http://192.168.1.254

Will route you to the router.

192.168.1.254

Is very likely to give rise to a search in the 'preferred search engine'.
