Dreytek Vigor 130 Google Wi-Fi

I was with Vodafone and used Google Wi-Fi with a Draytek Vigor 130 modem. I recently moved house and changed to Plusnet and now I need to update the settings and can’t remember what I originally did.

I have spent hours reading forum posts and can’t for the life of me work it out. If someone could kindly tell me what settings I need to update, it would be much appreciated.

Re: Dreytek Vigor 130 Google Wi-Fi

I imagine you will need to update the PPPoE username/password that the Google Wi-Fi unit is using.

See here.

The username and password you would need are (replacing the obvious with their actual values):-

<username_used_to_log_into_plusnet_website>@plusdsl.net
<password_used_to_log_into_plusnet_website>

e.g.

something@plusdsl.net
passwd1234

This is what I tried but it didn’t work. Would I need to alter any of the settings on the modem!

Re: Dreytek Vigor 130 Google Wi-Fi

Did you have an FTTC service with Vodafone? If so, I wouldn't have thought you'd need to change anything. The modem would probably need configuring to use VLAN tagging but one would assume that's already in place if it worked with Voda.

I'm seeing a raft of password rejections at this side, so are you sure you're entering the correct password when changing the PPP details? What I'm seeing is suggestive of you having the correct PPPoE username but wrong password.

Have you tried logging into the Plusnet website using the same password to see if it's accepted?

Re: Dreytek Vigor 130 Google Wi-Fi

@Olivia77  for the Vigor 130 have a look at my settings that I've posted previously here -

https://community.plus.net/t5/My-Router/Vigor-130-Asus-RT-AC86U-What-s-the-correct-setup-of-both-dev...

It's probably worth reading that entire topic, and remember to update the firmware to version 3.8.5_BT  downloaded from https://www.draytek.co.uk/support/downloads/vigor-130

Re: Dreytek Vigor 130 Google Wi-Fi

All sorted now - the problem was the password. Thanks for all of your help.
