Hub 2 manager page now "Not Secure"

Since a couple of days ago (and never previously), when I go to my Hub 2's home page (192.168.1.254), the address appears as "not secure".
This isn't:
1) A browser issue - the same thing happens in Firefox, Opera and Chrome (as mentioned, it didn't previously)
2) An operating system issue - the same thing happens in both Windows and Linux.
3) A device issue - the same thing happens on two different laptops and a desktop PC.
4) A connection issue - the same thing happens when connected by WIFI or ethernet.
So something appears to have changed with the router itself. A software update maybe? However, there doesn't seem to be any talk about it on this forum, so I'm wondering what has happened here.
Thanks for any advice.

@Ren Which software version do you have on your Hub? What is telling you the connection is 'not secure'?

Hi,
The Hub firmware version is: v0.10.00.04201-PN. However, I did reset the Hub yesterday after I noticed this issue (which didn't change anything), so I'm not sure if there is a newer software version it hasn't downloaded yet.
In Firefox and Chrome, "Not Secure" (with a crossed-out padlock) appears before the router address in the address bar. If I click on the crossed-out padlock, it says something like: "Your connection to this site is not private. Information you submit could be viewed by others..."
In Opera, when I enter the router's address I get a page that says: The connection to 192.168.1.254 is not secure. You are seeing this warning because this site does not support HTTPS."
I never got this before until a couple of days ago.

I don't know about Opera - I have never used it - but my Firefox browser has had that 'warning' up for longer than I can remember.
To be honest, this is nothing to concerned about - very few, if any, routers work on the HTTPS protocol, and as it will only be responding to requests from you, who has logged in with the router password, there is no real risk.
Your Hub software is up-to-date.

The "Not Secure" message in the address bar 100% never appeared in Firefox for me before, nor in Chrome, and I definitely didn't get the "The connection to 192.168.1.254 is not secure" page in Opera either. So something has definitely changed and to me that is something to be concerned about if there no explanation for it.

The warning has always been there, it really is nothing to worry about.

Well, only you know what has happened on your kit, but Hubs/routers do not usually work over HTTPS - I don't recall ever seeing one that does - and take it from me, who has been in this game for over 40 years, there is zero need for concern.
The explanation could be that it is normal these days for browsers to give such a warning on sites which only connect over http, but as your hub is extremely unlikely to be transmitting its data to the wider world.

The unlocked-padlock symbol may have always been there in Firefox, but the "Not Secure" message in the address bar was not. It also appeared in Chrome at the exact same time (as mentioned, just a couple of days ago), as did the page in Opera.
I know that that Hubs/routers dont' usually work over HTTPS, but something has changed for these messages to suddenly start to appear. I just wanted to know what that was.

I have no idea - sorry. As I said before, I've had that 'not secure' message on my address bar for as long as FF implemented it, roundabout four years ago, from memory, so why yours has only just popped up is a mystery.

Yes, strange. I probably would have disregarded it if a similar thing didn't start to occur in the other browers at the exact same time.

I get the same issue if I deliberately access my router explicitly as https://192.168.1.1 (https) but if I access it as http://192.168.1.1 the page comes up just fine... by chance you haven't changed a link from http to https have you? (I don't use a hub 2 router.)

If I precede the hub address with "https://" in Firefox, I get this page:
Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead
Firefox detected a potential security threat and did not continue to 192.168.1.254. If you visit this site, attackers could try to steal information like your passwords, emails, or credit card details.
But like I said, it's not a Firefox specific thing.

Does it say "Not Secure" in the address bar (to the left of the hub address) when you use http://192.168.1.1 ?
