Re: Internet linked tv buffering

Your television already has wifi that works. These are typically used for devices such as laptops that either do not have wifi or a faulty chip.

The advice here is based on users with hundreds if not thousands of hours of real experience of problems. If we cannot help you just go back to Google and find a workaround that suits.

@Steve001
If you want a WiFi repeater you can power from the TV’s USB port, what about this one?

That's RPM to you!!

Re: Internet linked tv buffering

The conversation seems to have veered towards Powerline adapters, however just wanted to comment to say that where the two Wi-Fi bands are concerned, it's also worth checking the spec of the TV. I know a lot of smart TV's literally do not have a 5GHz radio. Obviously if this is the case, it will only ever connect on 2.4GHz.

Re: Internet linked tv buffering

Tp-link powerline adapter kit arrived yesterday and plugged in today.
Tv DID connect to the network through the adapter.
Will update with outcomes.

Re: Internet linked tv buffering

I went for the Tp-link powerline adaptors.
IPlayer etc has now been stable for over a week.
I was doubtful because the tv runs off a different electrical circuit to the router (where the first adaptor is also plugged in) but it has worked.
Thanks everyone 😀
