As I understand it the only "charge" is that you take out a new FTTC contract.

I'm not staff, but AFAIK yes, you'd just in effect extend the contract to 18 months, or whatever the term is these days.

Customer Retentions on 0800 013 2632 are the people to speak to.

There is a P&P charge of £6.99 when re-contracting, but that is all I'd expect you to be billed.
