Router password change won't save

Hello. I am an existing PlusNet user but have just updated to full fibre so have got a new Hub Two router. It was installed yesterday and I received the set up confirmation email today, and everything seems to be working ok now.

I have just tried to change the wifi access password in the router settings page though and for some reason it does not seem to retain or save the change. I've been into the advanced settings/ wireless tab and can change the default password input. I clicked the save button and it said 'changes saved' with no error messages, but if I go back to the home page then back to the wireless page again it has just defaulted to the original password and not the one I tried to change to.

Does anyone know why this would be, or if I'm doing something wrong?

Re: Router password change won't save

@adt welcome to the community

From your description it does not look like you are doing anything wrong.

A factory reset of the Hub might resolve this issue, push a pin in the reset pin hole for up to 30 seconds until the lights goes out.

Fix

@adt

Have you checked whether the password has actually changed by seeing if you can connect a device with the new password.

I'm wondering whether this is just your browser giving you cached data rather than the updated results.

Re: Router password change won't save

@Baldrick1  I did a factory reset as advised by @Dan_the_Van which didn't immediately help, but then I tried the same approach with a browser on a different device which then did work, so it looks like maybe it was an issue with the first browser I used. Thanks for your help!

Re: Router password change won't save

@adt I have seen an issue before when using mobile browsers on a non-mobile optimised site (Like the router page), the buttons don't always work. Can you try to change the WIFI password on a laptop or desktop instead? I'd even suggest that changing to desktop mode won't get around the problem so it is best to use an actual PC.
