Wifi Auth Problem hub 2

Hi any help gratefully received!

I am a customer of Plusnet less than a week. Everything worked fine, suddenly overnight the Hub 2 router has decided that all wifi connections have an auth problem ? I cannot connect unless i use ethernet.

If i disable the password, I can connect and it works fine but obviously i don't want to continue like that.

Any suggestions would help, I personally imagine its a faulty router as it happened overnight.

Thanks!

@Mr_mikey1   have you rebooted, or factory reset the router?

It may just need that after a firmware update overnight.

@jab1

I would imagine he's disabled security by making type to none

@Mr_mikey1

When you look at the >Advanced Settings >Wireless page does the password match the one on the removable card?

Thanks for your replies all :-

*I changed the security type under 'advanced wireless' to 'none' to let everyone in the house connect and it works fine then.

* I've tried to factory reset the router as i did have my own network name etc before but its all factory reset to the default settings and same issue.

* The code on the wifi card does indeed match the password on the Wireless page .

So i'm none further forward i've tried various things last hour or so Sad

That is strange - a full factory reset should force Hub to pick up your credentials.

@Mr_mikey1

assuming the Hub is back online and connected to the internet and works with a ethernet cable, I take it your devices see the wifi name, it's just you can not connect to the wifi?

Have you tried a simple password all number or alpha character password, the Hub might protest but accept the warning messages
