using Asus DSL-AC68U with new FTTP 300Mb broadband

I wanted to use this router with my new broadband and have connected successfully. However I am only getting 111Mbps downstream, upstream is fine at 47Mbps. With the supplied Hub 2 I get around 280Mbps downstream.

Does anybody know what settings I should be using or what else could be the cause of this or do I just need a better router ?

@vernon123 do you have a setting for NAT acceleration ? and is it enabled ?

https://www.asus.com/support/faq/1011711/

I assume the settings is enabling hardware NAT

Re: using Asus DSL-AC68U with new FTTP 300Mb broadband

Are you using a DSL-AC68U (with DSL port) or RT-AC68U (with WAN port) as there is a difference

From what I see the DSL version can not be configured as a router only device, so how/what is it connected?

Are these wireless speeds?

Hi, it is the DSL model but you can manually configure a WAN port to enable use with the ONT box.

In that case it seems the AC68U just isnt up to it...

If as suggested the DSL-AC68U is not up to the job would the RT-AX86U Pro be a suitable replacement and connect directly to the ont box ?

I have the RT-AX86U. It works just fine on my Full Fibre 900. Yes it connects directly to the ONT with ethernet cable
