I'm a big fan of sharing knowledge. Why? Because it makes everyone life easier. Why be the holder of a key piece of information or knowledge. Your only going to get called out at 3am in the morning or have to make do the same thing day in day out because nobody else can do it. It also means your not going to progress in your chosen career etc. I'm also a great believer in there being more than enough people smarter than me in just about any topic I dare to choose 🙂 So - with that in mind. I'm organising a BarCamp in Sheffield on the weekend of May 25th / 26th. Whats a BarCamp? Its a social gathering based around a specific topic where the attendees are requested to contribute in anyway they can to share knowledge and create lasting relationships that they can continue to move forward. A subject that I am deeply interested in and think there is a pent up demand in the UK (specifically the North of England) for.
