I can't imagine that Plusnet will lose many customers over their failure to supply FREE Phone directories to their customers... but they have lost me. After my 12 month contract has expired I will be moving my phone service back to BT.

It's not only that. I personally wonder what else Plusnet have dumbed down to save a few pennies... If they can't even supply my local phone book for FREE then perhaps my SLA in the event of a fault is slightly less than it was with BT... There seems to be an awful lot more small print than I'd imagined. I've just lost the confidence that I've bought the right product.

I'm just wondering who is actually paying for them to be produced - particularly the "Phone Book" as that always used to be more residential names/numbers than businesses. If the cost of this is passed onto phone providers then reducing the number of them is definitely a good thing as the cost savings can be spent on improving the service.
If anybody wants to contact me; they need to know my number already. I'm not, never have been, and never will be, in the Phone Book.

I don't recall it being actually addressed to me. I think most/all addresses in an area have one delivered when the main print run is done for an updated edition, but perhaps my memory is poor and it was addressed. If that's the case, it can only be that I used to be a BT customer.

And they're definitely not addressed.
I'd rather not get them, along with the YP and Thompson to be honest, it's a waste of resources and go straight in the recycling.
