Re: Migration Query

You will get a post from PN 5 minutes before close of play today saying them are still chasing BT.
And so another day passes...
Don't use your MAC code. As you say they want to pass the problem on to another ISP

I am glad I am not the only one who has noticed plusnet post 5 mins or so before close of play and sod off home........
Thanks for highlighting that.....
Plusnet have offered me free broadband until it gets fixed and 4 months free after that, if they want to pay me what 4 months is worth and waive the £40 fee for getting out of my contract then I would consider using my mac code........although I have just noticed on my home member page that it says my next billing date is 1st of June...ie today......perhaps plusnet want to check that the free broadband I was offered is the case.....coz if I get billed after all this garbage I have had to put up with then all HELL will break loose.......

Re: Migration Query

but you are not getting "free broadband" - you are getting no broadband so the word free doesn't apply.
Have you considered contacting theregister.co.uk ?

Re: Migration Query

Hi dogwhisperer,
We've heard back from BT and they've located a problem with the wiring. This is due to be replaced, initial estimate says it will be done within two weeks however we should have more detail on the dates by close of play on Thursday. Needless to say we'll let you know as soon as we do.

Re: Migration Query

Sure, sorry I missed that - there's no payment due as of today (your billing date is the first of each month) so no, you won't be charged.

So why does it say my next billing date is 1st June then?.....bit confusing to say the least......or is that BT's fault as well?

I have had no internet since 18th May and you want me to put up with no internet for another 2 weeks.......no chance........get this escalated to your boss or whoever can get BT to do this quicker.....
I will not accept things as they are......

Re: Migration Query

Hi dogwhisperer,
The billing run for today is still ongoing at present (it takes longer on the first of the month partly because we have more customers with the first as their billing date and partly because there's additional scripts that run on the first that don't run on other days). It'll change later on today when the run completes.
As regards escalating this, I'll see what we can do for you but this is already with the high level escalations team at BT. If there is any higher we can go then we will certainly get it escalated further for you. It may be however that it won't be two weeks - as I said earlier we'll have more information on Thursday.

I'll bet if this was Mr Vollmer's line it would have been sorted weeks ago.

Re: Migration Query

I've been speaking with senior management here who have recommended that we use a new escalation process that involves each person dealing with this being overseen by our BT wholesale account manager and will also ensure that the most capable and technical back office staff members deal with this going forward.
As things stand we will be pushing back to request that this work is handled with greater priority and is actioned sooner than 2 weeks from now.
I will be liaising with colleagues this afternoon to catch up and  make sure that we are all singing from the same hymn sheet before we go ahead with the new process I've mentioned.
