New Service Status System

https://community.plus.net/t5/Community-Announcements/Service-Status-Changes/m-p/1516144#M8438

I note that there is no system for generating an email or RSS Feed - this is a serious omission - will it be linked to the Usertools or will this come later

Re: New Service Status System

Superuser citation

This topic has been cited by one of the Superusers; the purpose of which is to provide a note for information which might help to focus continued discussion (but might not result in a staff response).

I've added this post to a feedback topic in the SU space @Oldjim  it does seem quite logical to continue this facility, though the new GDPR requirements may complicate the email option.

Will it be added to Usertools?  IMHO highly unlikely. Undecided

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Good shout, I'll add it to the list Smiley

There are no plans to link Usertools.

Re: New Service Status System

Are there also plans to continue posting to the Service Status newsgroup when something is impacted?

The tool doesn't post on the newsgroups unfortunately.

Re: New Service Status System

Does that preclude someone from manually posting?

Newsgroups are the second thing I look at online, after email. Forums are a distant 3rd!

Re: New Service Status System

Clicking on the 'check status' button on the Help and Support page just returns a blank page (as it did yesterday.)

What, if anything, am I doing wrong?

Re: New Service Status System

Should probably also make sure only production code goes live rather than star wars quotes.

Re: New Service Status System

@JayG - just tried it and it is working (at least for me) are you still having difficulty?  Which browser are you using?

@ScottStorey - how on earth did you find that one?

Re: New Service Status System

@Townman: IE11 on Win7 PC - still loads blank page.

Loads correctly using Chrome.

Re: New Service Status System

@JayG,

Thank you for clarifying ... same with IE11 on Win10.
