Tried to download PlusnetAssist as I found it helpful on my old ageing Vista laptop.
Apparently it doesn't work - yet? - on Windows 8.1.
What a shame as I note it's part of my subscription, anyway.
Otherwise highly satisfied with PlusNet help on installing PlusNet Protect on the new all singing, all dancing laptop!
Another add on I find really useful.

& also ties up support, when members ask why it doesn't work / is there a workaround to get it working, etc
However when I asked if it was going to be removed I was told NO it isn't, going to be removed

It has not even worked within its limited claims for a number of years and zero effort has been put into fixing it, so retire it before it gets even more embarassing..
I'm sure the ASA would expect even a 'Free gift' to work.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

I think you have shocked the board at your satisfaction with Plusnet Assist!
As for everybody else, this is something that I mentioned here: http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,132011.0.html
I do understand that it's pretty silly how it only supports browser versions from about 3 years ago, and it's something I'm working to bring to the attention of our higher-ups.

I find it astounding that getting attention for a brand affecting, potential legal liability is so difficult.
