I assume there will be some kind of announcement when they begin migrating large numbers of users. But I doubt there will be any explanation of the technical details of the new network. Nothing changes and for me, the only noticeable difference was slightly better latency.
Quote from: andrewsimk Been moved onto the new network myself, but now I can't authenticate with the system, tried multiple routers, modems, cables and had engineer.
Have you tried the BT test accounts?

Quote from: spoon Could someone who's had one of these messages post the output from tracert ntp.plus.net
please.
My connection (from Bath so probably via Bristol) goes: CentralXX.ptn-bngXX -> ptw-crXX -> ptw-gwXX
So question is how do you translate those names into a route, unless you have some knowledge of the network topology? I can't find a map of the pusnet topology, so don't know which machines are in the central routing facility - unless the Central but aboe is a give away? E.g. can you test being on the new network by not seeing Central?
Thanks,
David.

Just FYI, you're not on the new network.

Quote from: Bob it won't be obvious to everybody when they've been moved i.e. you won't all see traceroutes like that ^
Will everyone be getting moved over Bob?
Quote from: Bob Yeah, I believe that's the intention. There's a *lot* of circuits to move though so it will take some time.

Quote from: jafreer Not sure if this has already been answered, but does the second hop shown below to 206.core.plus.net mean I am on the new network?
That's ptw-bng02 I think, it's just the rDNS is wrong.
