No idea why a factory reset was required, but that's ^ definitely not the reason.

With all this talk about the new network & associated issues (dedicated ip's/lottery website etc.), I have found this on the Kitz forum.
I presume this is what's it's all about?

I'm on a Market A exchange that only has ADSL Max and I pay extra for the ADSLMax Premium which is supposed to prioritise my traffic. Latency and congestion has been getting progressively worse, so I'd like to know whether the new network may help at all?

Quote from: HarryB @OJ & XenoGuy - You're both still on the 'old' network
Will we get notice ahead of time, or is it wait-and-see-when-your-router-can't-connect scenario?

Quote from: ktz392837 Is there an easy way of finding out if you are on the new network and which wbmc node you are on? Thanks
atm by doing a tracert.
If you are on dedicated then you will see a hop with a private IP eg 172.17.xx
From the tracerts Ive seen, the interconnect routers arent configured to respond to ICMP ping so it doesnt give anything away about location.
The private IPs indicate Plusnets network, whether or not in time they allocate public IPs which could make the locations more visible (as BTretail/consumer do) I dont know. 😕
Example:
Quote from: AndyH Here are my traceroutes (same issue NL site doesn't load/connect at all on the new network).
Via the new network:
Quote Tracing route to www.lb.national-lottery.co.uk [194.246.78.103]
over a maximum of 30 hops:
1 1 ms 1 ms 1 ms dsldevice.lan [192.168.1.254]
2 * * * Request timed out.
3 * * * Request timed out.
4 3 ms 3 ms 5 ms 172.17.3.205
5 5 ms 4 ms 4 ms 172.17.10.130
6 7 ms 4 ms 5 ms be2.pcn-ir01.plus.net [195.166.129.164]
7 5 ms 5 ms 4 ms core1-BE1.colindale.ukcore.bt.net [195.99.125.132]
8 5 ms 7 ms 7 ms peer1-et-1-3-0.telehouse.ukcore.bt.net [195.99.127.19]
9 * * * Request timed out.
10 * * * Request timed out.
11 * * * Request timed out.
Also it looks like the gateway checker may have been enhanced:
Quote from: buseng12 Slight more info, this is my gateway.
You are currently connected to gateway pcn-ar01.
This is located in Colindale Point of Presence

Quote from: Bob ...but bear in mind it won't be obvious to everybody when they've been moved i.e. you won't all see traceroutes like that ^
Quote from: Bob
Quote from: jafreer Bob - is there a way to tell when one is moved onto the new network?
It will be fairly simple for some to tell because they'll see the routing change in outbound traceroutes. Not everybody will though, and for those folk the best clues you're likely to get are from checking the service notices/tickets on your account. (I /think/ that's still possible to do?). Other option is to ask a member of staff, but I strongly advise against that as it will detract from more important issues that need attending to - especially when our support folk are so busy.
