Do you
Also do all the marketing offers not have a cost themselves, that have to be covered from somewhere? Us?
Lastly Cash-back; nice if you can get it, but from threads elsewhere here, and on general consumer forums that seems a big IFF. Therefore I discount that unless the product has that something anyhow.
Go on then; I am an antediluvian, not with it, old so and so!

Having said all that, I have found that Plusnet has always matched the best offer I can find (although I am on a Market 1 exchange, and don't get any of the low cost offers)

I won't even go down the road of why you would rely on your broadband supplier for email....
How much hassle is it to spend 30 minutes to an hour a year to check broadband offers?!
The CP's have made it a commodity item, a utility service, as such we should let market forces dictate.
Plusnet used to have a fantastic reputation for value added service - whether that was web space, ftp, the customer support or whatever - and as such could command a premium for its' products.
But like all the others, except maybe AAISP, Plusnet have dropped value, and service, with the added just being pounds to your monthly bill.
As they all offer the same thing, and in Plusnet's case they are offering less than their parent company and others, then when it comes to pricing, maybe cheapest is King?
In over 8 years, I've only ever had 1 cashback declined, and that was for a bookie, so if people don't understand how they work and can't follow some simple rules, then that means the company can offer more cashback for those of us who do and can.

I have never been able to look at a package here or elsewhere and say 'Oh thats going to cost me £25,00 pm [or what ever] I find there are far too many sub paragraphs to trawl through. It may be down to age I don't know but the other thing that stops me moving year on year like I do with insurance or electricity is that fact that you can be left without connection for a few days or maybe even longer - [I would be like a bear with a sore head].
Non of the above would stop me moving if I feel I no longer get value for money, but I would be more interested in what the costs would be after any deal ends than saving a few pounds over 12mths because I don't want the hassle that goes with moving. My thought are a steady connection is far more valuable to me than saving a few quid a month because I can and I do realise that not all customers have that luxury.

Quote from: Webif Don't know if I'd be recommending Zen either with their older Ericsson LNS causing them a few headaches before the mx960 upgrade cycle comes on line.
Did they/do they have problems or some sort of outage? I must admit I didn't notice/haven't noticed

Quote from: lucerne Just think how many stay with their power provider, frequently on the standard tariff.
Indeed. I do ,because I don't need to pay for more than I use and I don't want/like them taking monthly direct debits. Why should it sit in their account earning them interest just so they can give it back later in the year because I have not used it.. Much better off in mine!
Anyway they wanted me to pay nearly double in a month than I use in a quarter! (£210 in 3 months vs £125 for a quarter - and that's for both!)

Quote from: AndyH This is not an offer for existing customers, so it's meaninless to comapare it to Plusnet's prices:
Quote All introductory prices or offers are only available to new BT Broadband customers unless stated otherwise.
I didn't notice anyone say it was for existing BT Broadband customers and it's a perfectly valid comparison with potential retention deals.

Can you share the retention deals? It would be useful if you could do this.

Why would anyone want to tell you what retention deal they end up negotiating anyway, if they accept one?
