So long and thanks for all the megabits

This will probably be my last post in the Plusnet forums as I'm changing provider tomorrow.

I'm not dissatisfied with Plusnet as such, but I guess the reason I'm leaving is BT's marketing strategy. I want to move to a full fibre connection but I also want to have a digital voice service and keep my existing landline number. Plusnet - now BT's 'cheap and basic' brand - doesn't offer me this possibility. Oh, and the ending of my relatively cheap BT Sport app deal (which I got shortly before the start of the automatic inflation-busting price increases) made the decision to move easier.

I'd like to say thanks to all the various Plusnet staffers and forum members who have helped me out since I joined many moons ago. I won't mention names because I'm bound to forget some important people, But I've really appreciated the help I've been given on anything from diagnosing and fixing router faults to (more recently) enabling me to send messages from Plusnet via my domain name to Gmail addresses. I hope I've also helped a few people along the way, though I've done very little compared with some of the star contributors here.

All the best, everyone.

Graham

Hi Graham,

It is deeply saddening to read the impact "parring down the business offering" is having on retaining long standing loyal customers.  I hope that wherever you are moving to, you will find a similar level of help and support as you have encountered here.

Best wishes for the future...
