Re: safeguard

It's also the same with new customers. It's an option upon signup, but you specifically have to opt in to have it enabled. Phone signups would require new customers to do it over the member centre.

The first attached image shows the top right corner ok.
Then Live Chat pops up and the result is the second attached image.

Re: safeguard

Good idea Plusnet. BUT I do have one major criticism though - that's the statement about "restart your router". It really is about time Plusnet stopped using this advice in the blanket way that they have done so in the past. Restarting a "router" when in most cases it means "modem/router" is damned poor advise for many on ADSL connections especially on 20CN where the resultant resync can mean an adverse change in profile if done at the "wrong" time, especially if they have a dropping connection issue or high errors.
With virtually all these types of product all that's required is a drop and reconnect of PPP session, and it's about time Plusnet's advice clearly stated that, and how to do it. It needs to be a simple small straight forward explanation with a link to a further item about what to do and when, if their particular modem/router doesn't have the ability to Disconnect/Connect the PPP Internet session.

Re: safeguard

Makes a change from the opt-out filters that the larger ISPs have now put in place due to government pressure.

I get that "setting up broadband" message too. I'm also a Force9 customer and I suspect this "feature" might be specific to those who are not Plusnet (vISP) customers.

Not specifically Chris.
I don't yet have the page in your screen shot available so no on/off switch to operate....if I chose to use this facility.
I guess it's not been set up on my account yet Cool
