Find my PIN 🤔

Hi, I need a PIN to be able to connect the Panasonic camera to send its images to the phone. I can't find out where it is! Router has wireless network code, password key and admin password for Hub Manager. Is it in my account somewheres?
Anyone know?!

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

It will be a PIN for the camera, so you should find it in the cameras documentation.

@jab1

I would imagine he's referring to the WPS PIN.

@70esque

You might have to transfer using the old fashion method with a USB cable or removing SD card and using a PC of some sort,

I've not found it on my Hub Two.

Not knowing what the OP is actually referring to, @Dan_the_Van , you could be right, although I don't recall having to put a PIN in when using WPS - I just follow the instructions.

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

Just researching the camera model tech on their chat. It's old vs new technology 😂
I want to avoid using USB lead and memory card route etc on the PC and live more in this century...

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

It is unclear what is being sought here ... beyond enabling the means of the camera to pass photographs to the (I guess smart) phone.

It is possible that such a connection could be

  • BLUETOOTH direct between the camera and the phone - which is usually controlled by a PIN
  • WiFi DIRECT between the camera and the phone - the camera acts as a WAP and has some kind of data sharing service for an application installed on the phone
  • WiFi peer connection between the devices via the router

Therefore "PIN" could refer to, either a Bluetooth pair code (usually 4 or 6 digits) or the router's WiFi (SSID) password.  There is simply not enough information here to offer precise help.  As such this is not a broadband issue - I have asked the mods to move this to a more suitable board.

EDIT: As per @Dan_the_Van 's post below, the PIN could refer to the WPS automated WiFi paring using a WPS PIN - which I do not think the Hub2 supports.  It does support WPS 'push button' paring if the client supports that protocol.

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

What model camera - and what is 'old tech' about a USB connection or card reader?

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

It's a Panasonic LF1 which is old. However it has an app, WiFi and a QR code option.
I wanted to modernise from using a USB connection/memory card to the pc and use WiFi. Sorry if not clear. I'm on the Panasonic chat forum too now...
The old and new tech may not be able to speak to each other! I can continue transferring as before if needed. The PIN belongs to the camera not to the Plusnet router. That's progress...
It helps me to learn new stuff 👨🏻‍🎓

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

Looking at a review, it mentions "2.4GHz 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi and Near Field Communications" which is not included in the specification sheet.

See this - How to Connect LF1 with Wifi to Windows 8: Panasonic Compact Camera Talk Forum: Digital Photography ...

- sadly it discusses problems but no clear solutions.

Does this help - https://youtu.be/G-Rd7y9xO20?feature=shared

Re: Find my PIN 🤔

Thank you for your interest. I've heard from the DPReview community.
The replies all referred to a W8 computer. I use a W10. Shows the age of the camera...
I have another link to follow through 😄
I thought the query related to my Plusnet router, but this is not the case. Learning lots here 👨🏻‍🎓
