Anyone would think that it was only the CSC that worked here. Only one submission for the end of day today I'm afraid, which is to be frank, a bit on the poor side. Not even anything from Comms today.. no silly link or anything. This is due, I think, to the fact that the team is so busy (yes that word again) helping organise testing of the new thing the tech guys call TR69 but that we like to think of as a router that's really simple to set up. Simple, because it sets itself up simple. Here's Lee with the CSC update: Hello readers, it's Lee here from the CSC with your Top 5 for the day. It's been a pretty straightforward day, no major outages, problems or anything like that, which is good!
- Fault Updates - Customers calling up for fault updates or to give us some more information for our faults team to mull over.
- New Faults - A lot of new faults as well today, mainly Authentication from what we've seen, but nothing out of the ordinary.
- Router setup assistance - Customers calling for help setting up routers for the first time, or for help reconfiguring their routers for one reason or another.
- Provisioning updates - Often people get their routers a few days before activation, so when the postman knocks on the door, customers want to see if they're ready to set up and get online as soon as possible. Also, we have the odd provisioning delay (which we want to avoid!) so customers call for information about that too.
- Email - Setup of email clients and assistance with email problems are another common cause of issues.
And that's it! I'm off to pick up the keys to my new place and glare at Simon, as he's buzzing about going to Turkey next week. Anyone any ideas on how to shut him up in the meantime
? Until tomorrow then. P-j
