End of Day - 23rd January 2009

Another Friday and the final EoD for another week. Fortunately I think I'm going to finish this at a more reasonable time and get home before 7pm. Does look like we have a fairly sparse EoD for you today though but we'll carry on nonetheless and open with Gem with the HR End of Week:

Firstly, welcome to John Bowles and Chris Fahey who were inducted earlier this week and congratulations to Pete Smith for getting the QA engineer role.

Jen has done a tremendous job of analysing and presenting the Employee Opinion Survey results for the Company. This will be presented to everyone at the Company rally next week.

I was busy earlier this week finalising the new online performance review process and workshop presentation.

Amanda and I kicked off the workshops on Thursday.

Amanda has created the HR people plan for next year and shared this with us all at our team meeting today. Lots to do and some really good stuff to look forward to.

And finally, Amanda and I continued to work on the Role Profiles.

Have a great weekend. HR

Next is the Products team submission for yesterday which I think I got in just a bit too later for Kelly to post:

We're coming up on the the end of the week and what a busy week it's been thus far. I know how much the B word gets bandied about but I think it deserves special mention this week. So what have we done?

Rich has been eating salad and has been for 2 weeks now, he can't tell if he's lost any weight but he now has buck teeth, big ears and a fluffy tail. He has though been working on product rule best practices and attending a few meetings. He does though have a new phone to play with.

Luke went on a briefings meeting, attended the daily ops meeting, liaising with our suppliers amd working on the customer journey when they move back from an LLU provider. He isn't looking forward to the very busy day he has tomorrow though but also has a new phone to play with.

I've been working on lots of reports including churn, WLR call processing and forecasting and the 21CN trial. Sadly I don't have a new phone to play with but do have Speed Racer to watch on Blu-ray...

To add a bit on for today:

More supplier liaison, a few conference calls, lots of reports and 21CN trial stuff (we now have 88 customers and staff live and 19 more who are in progress or whose exchanges are expected to be enabled this month). Oh and Speed Racer is well worth a watch.

And that's all for today. Lost is back on Sunday night on Sky and QI on the Beeb tonight. Take care everyone and catch you later...
