Just one EOD update today, but it's a good one! Adheel from the Faults Team
Hello constant reader (and welcome to all the people reading our end of day for the 1st time!) Here is what has been going on in the world of all things "faults" today. I strolled in at midday today due to being on the late shift. I've realised today walking into the building with sunglasses on hours after other people have been working hard can encourage said people to say mean things to you. I'm sure most of them were just jealous as I managed to have a few hours in the sun before coming into work today. Ha! Anyway Tony was the early starter today, beginning his shift at 08.00am and finishing soon. As he is the first of the team in, he is responsible for assigning the roles for the rest of the team as well as well as ensuring any faults with a urgent update are picked up by the team as they start appearing in drips-and-drabs (great term). After this he has been working Authentication and Speed faults as well as worrying about Barnsley FC being relegated to League 1 (or the old Division 2 as us older folk will remember!) Don't worry Tony, I'm sure you will enjoy travelling to places such Yeovil & Cheltenham next season. 🙂 Our 21CN guru Keith and Adam came in at 09.00am, and the latter has been working Home Phone faults as well as re-arranging the items on my desks artfully. Thanks dude! (Note - this means he threw a pack of cards on my desk and ran away giggling like a hyena). Our two chaps on secondment have also been starting at 9 but whilst Chris has been enjoying a well deserved day off, Martin has been working hard on newly raised faults. Good work fella! Alex and Tom started at 11.30, and Alex has been helping out Tony with Speed faults whilst Tom has been dealing with Intermittent faults due to his renowned expertise in that area. And last but not least, myself and Rich have been helping out the others where necessary and ensuring everything is in a good way for the rest of the week. Our interim team leader Kelly has been in meetings most of the day as well as ensuring we are all working hard. She's doing a good job looking after us whilst our normal manager Simon is away for a few weeks. It can't be easy for her having to look after a team full of blokes but she's doing OK! 🙂 That's about it. For all those who have this evening free, enjoy it whatever you decide to do and make the most of the sun shine as you never know when the weather will turn and we'll all be moaning about the British weather again....
Nice one Adheel! That's it for today. I hope you all have a nice Wednesday evening. Get those BBQs on!
