130/150Kb/s upload speed

Im getting a very slow upload speed of only 130/150Kb/s.

 

Is this normal or is something wrong?

OK - so what product are you on, which router are you using, and what are your normal speeds?

standard broadband i believe 

 

using a hub one router, if thats whats it called

 

and i dont know my usual as ive never questioned it until now when trying to upload some files for work.

Log into the router and follow this:

Navigate from the Home Screen to Troubleshooting > Helpdesk

Ryan, from that information, I suspect you have a BT/OR network problem - the easiest way to resolve this is to follow the below:

 

First thing to check: Is your phoneline clear? Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone), select option 2. Once your phone number is confirmed, there should be silence on the line except for the regular 'Quiet Line Test' message - any other noise, report a PHONE problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/phone/

If the phone test passes, report a broadband problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/

Let us know the result - if the tests come back as clear but you still have a problem, we need to investigate further.

Though i dont own a corded phone!

Hello.

I have no dial tone.

I used the text service and it says there no fault. Clearly there is.

@RyanL987 In that case, I would suggest you call Plusnet support when they open tomorrow and manually report the problem - the automated system is known to throw up the odd false positive/negative.

If you get no joy there, report back and maybe the Community can help.

I've just checked your account and can see we've since picked up on a line fault (battery contact fault) which we've reported to Openreach for you.
