Hello

I am having issues sending mails (over a week now) and I believe its linked to this IP address 'blacklisted' issue. I would be grateful for Plusnet to formally investigate it

Now might be a good time to start looking into alternative email suppliers: already Plusnet are no longer providing email to new users, which means that fewer and fewer users will be using the Plusnet email... so fewer support staff...

Need I go on?

I'm slowly moving my email over to "Mythic Beasts", I'm VERY impressed with their support... but not surprising, as email and hosting is their main business.

A warm welcome to the forums. Why do you think your issue is linked to an IP address issue?

Are you running your own mail server?

Are you unable to send ANY email or is it just problems sender emails to specific providers for example @gmail ?

Are you sending as (from) @youraccount.plus.com or something else?

What is the full error message? Where is it coming from?

Are you on the Plusnet network?

There is obviously a problem with your mail server.

What's the latest news on a fix by Plusnet support?

What other diagnostic information do you have? Where are you sending from? On or off Plusnet’s network?

What SMTP server setting have you configured? Has this ever worked?

Do not think so … looks like an SMTP server setting issue. The SMTP server is relay.plus.net … not mail.plus.net

I was going to pick this, but got diverted, @Townman . Looking at the screenshot posted by @jed2 , I am confused by the first 'error report - that appears to come from a very foreign looking source?

Sure I've seen the 'Ox800' error before, though.

Was there any advance warning about the deprecation of mail.plus.net?

It's not my account but a family member I am helping who might have missed a notification if there was one.

mail.plus.net is the incoming server, not the outgoing one.

No - it is not deprecated. It’s the POP3 incoming server.

The mail is read in an old Outlook client that only broke yesterday as far as I know.

I've let her know and hopefully change the settings tomorrow. I'll let you know if that fixes it.
