Stopped receiving emails but can send

Hi

This morning both (wife and I) email accounts which use a plusnet hosted domain stopped receiving emails

The emails are managed by microsoft 365. My desktop client and onilne outllok dont have any new emails today.

To allow 365 to manage the emails my domain on plus net has these records

mx XXXXXXXXXX-com.mail.protection.outlook.com.
mx ms15320196.msv1.invalid.outlook.com.
autodiscover cname  autodiscover.outlook.com.
msoid.XXXXXXXXX.com cname  clientconfig.microsoftonline-p.net.

Where XXXXX is my domain name.

Not too sure where to start with this one. I think somewhere between microsoft and plusnet there is ENom but I dont know where things have gone wrong. Any pointers gratefully received.

Re: Stopped receiving emails but can send

Hi

I just checked and apparently my domain name expired yesterday.

Worrying as its set to auto renew, there was no date in the expiry field and as far as i am aware no warnings.

Plusnet  phone support have raised a ticket but if anyone knows a way to expedite this quickly I'd love to know as support are saying up to 5 days. Unfortunately I'm in the middle  of a large project so no email is a nightmare.

Re: Stopped receiving emails but can send

Hi

I have looked on DomainDiagnosis and it looks like the domain may now have renewed (hopefully to me). Although the expiry date on plusnet domain management is all zeros.

However my microsoft online based email is still not functioning.

I'm out  of my comfort zone here but DomainDiagnosis says there are no MX DNS records for my domain, but on my plusnet domain management settings page there are.

Not sure if these are unrelated, or, if they need filtering through is that something that will happen automatically or do I need to update the records on plusnet to trigger a change.

Many thanks for any guidance

Re: Domain Renewal - help!

@Staedler I can get it triaged to the right team as I am on the triage team. In terms of getting netops to pick it up I will send them a message but not promising it will be done any quicker.

Re: Domain Renewal - help!

Many thanks

In terms of panic levels 1-10 I'm at a 12.

So anything that may expedite much appreciated.

Re: Domain Renewal - help!

I can imagine, especially when you had it set at auto renew. I will see what I can do.

Re: Domain Renewal - help!

Hi
Is there anyway of finding out whether this is definitely in progress and ideally an expected fix. I e been without my email since the 15th and it’s very problematic.

@Staedler it's been raised to the team but it usually takes a week if I am being honest.
