BT to offer people on Universal Credit etc new broadband and phone package from next month

so BT have announced they will be offering a cheaper package for people on low incomes

is this something that plusnet are going to follow

As PN are BT's 'budget' brand, who knows? It will be up to BT management.

It’s just a replacement for BT Basic, it’s for those on specific benefits.
That wasn’t available on PN (although there was some confusion around that) and not sure this will be either.

@jab1, can’t remember where I saw it, but seems it’s also VDSL and not ADSL too.

It is for the VDSL service, @dvorak - there is a big 'story' on the BBC News site, which I (unusually) read.

Will Plusnet bring in new product called PN Home Essentials much similiar to the one BT will bring in BT Home Essentials next month
