Caller ID with-held (temporarily) remove block

On our Plusnet landline, the outgoing number is always with-held. Is there a way to un-block on a call by call basis, as our mobile phone coverage is really bad at present, and might need to ring the elderly mother, who probably doesn't answer with-held numbers?

Saw an old post on this forum about prefixing with 1470, but I get a "service request is not available" message when I try that.

So to be clear at what Iam asking, I would like to call her, but with my landline number to show at her end.

There are two versions of the 'Number Withhold' facility, one with 1470 override and one without - you seem to have the latter.

When one of the Plusnet Help Team spot this topic they'll be able to get you onto the version with override.

A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine

I've changed it now for you @mikcatta so we should all be sorted. Give it 30 mins to an hour and it should be ready.
