Voicemail not working

Can anyone help with a Voicemail issue?  I came home today to find that we now get a dead tone when I dial 1571.  It was working fine yesterday.  I've checked my account/package and we are still signed up for Voicemail.  Any ideas?

Can you make any outgoing calls/do you have a dial tone on the phone? If the answer to either of those is 'no', report a phone fault via Report your landline problem | Help | Plusnet

Hi John, we have a dial tone and can make calls as usual.

OK - just wondered. It may be an idea to  give them a call tomorrow morning in that case.

Hi there, I've performed a test on your line and it's now showing us any obvious causes for the issue. Just to check does your handset have it's own voicemail functionality?

I have just spoken to someone in the line fault section as I have same problem.  They have had a lot of calls on this!  Apparently seems to be a national fault and now they are aware of it action is being taken to trace and fix the problem.  Couldn't give a timescale though!
