ADSL2+ Hardware

It seems there is no definitive list of hardware which is ADSL2+ compatible.  So I thought, as a community, we could create one.
We've recently completed internal and external trials of ADSL2+ products, and our testers have used a wide variety of hardware.
*Please note:
The only routers that we guarantee will work are the ones we supply. We have many reported incidents where the 3rd party routers have not worked even with the latest firmware upgrade and recommend anyone having difficulties with their router to use Plusnet supplied hardware.

If you're on our ADSL2+ trial, using different hardware and can confirm that it is compatible and working please add to this post. It would be useful if you could also mention whether a firmware upgrade was required.

EDIT:
As some extra details have become available and 20mb on Value has launched we've decided to add a more detailed list of ADSL2 hardware.
The more technically minded amongst you will notice that we've included the manufacturer of the Chipset. This is as there is a widespread belief that Broadcom chipsets work best on 21CN. However we've not just limited this list to Broadcom based routers.
We have also included if the router is Annex M compatible, this basically means if the router will support upload speeds in excess of 2.5mb. This is not something we offer at the moment but we are likely to in the future so that is something else for your consideration.

I a using a Netgear DG834PN on ADSL2+ without any problems.

I am using a Netgear DGND3300v2 on Plusnet with no problems. This router has the Broadcom 6358 chipset (I think).
Worked fine out of the box and after firmware upgrade (V2.1.00.48_1.00.48).

I have a Binatone ADSL 2100 router which was supplied by PlusNet. As I have been a plus-net user for over 8 years perhaps this needs changing?

@2E1AKF, if you don't mind paying the P&P charges then our support centre can send you out a Thomson 585v8 for free. You'd only pay for it if you left at any point within the next twelve months.

I am using a TP-Link TD-8817 which is ADSL2+ and Annex M on ethernet cable via Comtrend Powerline adapters. No idea about the chipset tho.

Madasafish legacy using Netgear DG834G v5.
My Download speed has remained unchanged @ 6112kbps but my Upload speeds have increased from 370kbps to 1045kbps.
Could be due to the Conexant chipset in the Netgear.
Searching eBay for a Broadcom chipset modem/router to see if the Download speeds improve.
Update:
Now that the 'training period' is completed my Download speed more than doubled from 6Mbs to around 13.5Mbs! Nice one.
No need to get a new router with a Broadcom chip now. Very happy with this sort of speed.

Although we are currently connected with a ADSL2+ compatible router, it's only a temporary measure. Please can you advise whether our usual BT Voyager 2100 as supplied by Plusnet will continue to work? We quite appreciate that the Voyager 2100 will not take advantage of the improved performance of ADSL2+, but is the standard backward-compatible? Or will we need to upgrade, like @2E1AKF as above? Not keen to spend out anything more than absolutely necessary.

Advised by CS that ADSL2+ is not backward compatible with the Voyager 2100, and we would need to upgrade. Awaiting information on what the current offering is, to make a considered decision. Bit poor form that equipment is being provided with a limited lifetime - any forced upgrade really should be 100% borne by Plusnet.

Hi! I have a DLink DSL-G604T/UK V.A1 router, supplied by Plusnet, which doesn't appear on your list of ADSL2+ compatible routers. Does this mean that I need a new router, and if so, how do I get one, please?

Thomson 546 should be added to the list of Plusnet supplied, it works fine for me with download speeds generally over 18 Mb/s

I can confirm that Belkin have told me the F5D7634 router is compatible with the ADSL 2+ connection.
