"Your new total subscription cost will be £31.99 per month for the next 24 months."
This was the agreed upon price for renewing my contract with a full-fibre deal, however the new bill reads -
" We'll soon be taking a payment of £53.56 for your service. This will leave your account on or after 5th July 2024."
Please change this to the agreed amount immediately.

Exactly the same thing has happened to me as well, but what is now worrying is the post I made about it a few hours ago has disappeared.

You both need to phone up and it will be fixed.
There is an element of "future charging" vs "past charging" complexity to the bill but when I changed to full fibre it required a phone call and (subsequently) the most confusing bill to sort it.
Assuming you can afford to, it is simplest to leave the overpayment with Plusnet and have a small bill the following month.

PN charge a month in advance so the bill is often generated before any new contract is agreed. It gets sorted the follwing month when a credit is automatically added to the bill. The bill itself is spilt (I believe) into pre and post contract charges.

Hello,
After checking my bank account I still don't seem to have received a refund. My bill is still not at the agreed price either.

The bill for this month is £49.38.
It will not be paid unless it changes to the agreed amount of £31.99.

The bill is now correct, but I haven't had any refund. If you could just subtract around £22 off the next bill I would consider the issue settled.
