Synology Router RT2600 - PPPoE

Hey all.

I'm trying to use my Synology RT2600 router, with the plusnet hub in modem mode. However, I can't seem to get it to connect.

I've tried selecting the PPPoE option as the connection in the Synology App. Using the username and password provided by plusnet. But it just gets stuck trying to connect. See attached image.

Has anyone got any experience of getting this working? Or have any idea what I need to do?

Many thanks

Which PN router do you have?

What is shown in the event log of the Synology when you try and connect?

@sunrunner4kr

Have you confirmed that your password is correct by using it to log in to your Plusnet account?

Do you have any special characters in your password? If so have you checked that they are in the range acceptable to the router?

Does the Hub 2 show a pink light confirming that it’s working in bridge mode?

Re: Synology Router RT2600 - PPPoE

Thanks for the help.

I have the Hub 2.

I can't find an event log. There is a log center, but this doesn't show any connection logs.

I'm just trying to generate system logs as per https://community.synology.com/enu/forum/2/post/131184

Re: Synology Router RT2600 - PPPoE

Pink light is on.

I've log in to https://www.plus.net/member-centre with the same password.

I've no idea regarding special characters, although I do have some in the password.

If I change my password at https://www.plus.net/member-centre/account would this change the same password I need to connect via modem?

Yes

Make sure the Synology is not setting a VLAN ID, the Hub 2 will be handling that
