Re: Ubiquiti FTTP/Full Fibre connectivity question

All is exceptionally brilliant but as soon I try to put the hub2 into bridge mode

@bugs well firstly, using bridge mode on the Hub 2 won't work. Bridge mode bridges the DSL port to the LAN ports i.e its a DSL modem so is no use for FTTP.

or connect directly to the Gateway I get the 'NO INTERNET' message

So does it actually not make the PPPoE connection OR is it saying it can't reach the gateway ?

I'm not sure about the Ubiquiti but some routers detect an Internet connection by pinging the gateway. That won't work, the gateways wont respond to ping. If it needs something to ping to check connectivity try setting it to one of the NTP servers ( assuming its configurable )

You need to disconnect the Hub Two and put it in a cupboard

Then connect the UB router WAN directly into the ONT LAN port where the Hub two used to be plugged into.

Configure the WAN for a PPPoE internet connection as previously discussed

Re: Ubiquiti FTTP/Full Fibre connectivity question

Thanks I don't think I'll put it in a cupboard, I've got more drastic measures in mind, that involve a very heavy tool! I think I now know why I can't connect - I think my attempt is conflicting with a previous install. I am going to try to delete the existing instal and start again with a clean sheet
