I've asked HLE to confirm what time on Sunday the work is due to be carried out however they've been unable to do so due to the amount of work involved and the fact that there will be 6 engineers working on it. Why 6 engineers are needed I'm not entirely sure.
I haven't been able to speak to my manager as of yet as she's been stuck in a meeting for the last couple of hours, however I suspect she will decline your request on the basis of your internet connection working although I do appreciate your somewhat sceptical approach given what has gone on so far.

Easy..
1 to make the tea
1 to arrange the biscuits
1 to drive the van
1 to read the job ticket history
1 as a union rep
1 to actually do the work
All this and BT still makes a massive profit!

Just remember I gave you the opportunity for a contingency plan if it all goes belly up on Sunday........
It would be nice to know when the work will start and for approx at least how long it will go on for as I plan to disconnect my router from the line in case BT blow up my router.....
You rang as I was typing this, telling me there is no further info when they will start the work on Sunday, thanks for the call and we will just have to hope it all goes well Sunday......

I guess they started the work late last night as we lost phone and internet at 11.05 PM for 5 mins......I assume they re-directed the cables to keep peoples phone and internet working while the work is carried out.....

How are things today? Has there been any noted improvement at all, or is your sync speed still banded?

I guess its possible its still banded but Adam advised a while ago that that was taken off after a long time getting BT to do it......
Upload still needs to be uncapped.....
Basically it is no different after the work they completed yesterday......which makes me wonder if I was on that 60m stretch of cable to start with.....
I have exactly the same download sync of 2267 as I did before Sunday, with a line attenuation of 49db and SNR margin of 16db the sync speed should be much higher than that.....

Let me try to get that sorted for you and then we'll get your upstream uncapped once the line banding has been removed.
Leave it with me.

While its good that the sync has risen I can't get any benefit from it as my IP profile is 1750 so is restricting my download speed, so this needs to be raised in relation to the sync speed I am getting, I would suggest an IP profile of 3000 to start with and see how we get on....I know this may rise over time but I also know it can be manually overridden and I suggest that is done.....
I have just done a BT speed test so you can see for yourself the info I mention above....

The reason I have asked for the profile to be manually re-set is that a fault, plus banded profile has caused my problem and therefore it makes sense to re-set so I can see as quickly as possible if the latest attempt from BT has fixed the problem or not......wether plusnet can re-set this themselves manually or get BT to do it there end in my view it makes sense so we can see where we are rather than wait for the DLM to kick in, which in the past I have known to be a bit flaky to say the least, which may only delay me further in knowing if the problem has been fixed or not.......and I am sure plusnet want to know as well so they can get me off their back at long last and we can put this to bed and move on.....we live in hope......
